St. Peter's Vacation Bible School — "Paul and the underground church"

Members of the underground church have to watch
out for Roman soldiers who will arrest them
and put them in jail.

Students visit Paul and his guard, Brutus.
Due to Paul's witness, Brutus becomes
a Christian during the week of VBS.

Many early Christians have to hide in caves to
avoid imprisonment. VBS students visit
the caves to tell them about what
Paul has taught them.

VBS students and teachers participate in chariot
races. Some little ones don't remain upright
while trying to pull the adults around.

Students spend dinarii in the marketplace to
make leather goods and other crafts.

At the blanket shop, students make
blankets for the needy.

One of Caesar's men conscripts the village arthitect
to build Caesar a villa on the Island of Capri.
Caesar threatens all kinds of bodily harm to
the man and his family if he doesn't comply
or finish the project on time.

Pastor Mike of Good Shepherd complains bitterly when
he is arrested for stealing in the market place.
The store owner, a Christian, rescues him from the
Roman guard. VBS is a joint project between
St. Peter's and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
